As director of WolfBrown’s Intrinsic Impact audience feedback program, Sean Fenton has played a seminal role in bringing new tools and approaches to audience measurement efforts nationwide. He brings to the team a background in anthropology, community relations, communications, and arts marketing, as well as over 13 years of experience in the performing arts sector. In his role with the Intrinsic Impact program, Sean helps theatres, symphonies, choirs, museums, dance companies, and other arts organizations better understand the impact of their work through patron feedback. He has deep experience with a variety of data collection methods and knowledge of the latest digital tools and response enhancement techniques. Sean works closely with marketing, education, and artistic staff of organizations such as Center Theatre Group, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Arts Club Theatre Company, and Cornerstone Theatre Company, among others. He speaks regularly on the topic of audience feedback and impact assessment at national conferences and as a guest lecturer at graduate studies programs such as the Yale School of Drama. Prior to joining WolfBrown, Sean oversaw external communications, branding, metrics, and reporting for the Northern California region of Kaiser Permanente Educational Theatre. He is also an award-winning actor, director, and music director whose work has been seen throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and in multiple national tours. In addition to his artistic training and experience, Sean holds a degree in cultural and social anthropology from Stanford University. |
