WolfBrown had a unique, multi-year relationship with this significant arts funder in administering the Lila Wallace-Reader’s Digest Writers’ Awards. WolfBrown provided management oversight and administration for all aspects of the annual fellowship and audience development program, working closely with Fund staff. WolfBrown conducted the confidential nomination process that led to selection of the annual award winners; brokered relationships with the awardees and suitable community or cultural organizations; assisted the writers and their partners in drafting innovative programs to engage audiences for literature; prepared staff materials for review by the Fund’s board of directors; and developed systems to monitor and evaluate the grants. Over a period of four years, WolfBrown worked with 37 of the 67 artist-community collaborations Wallace has funded.
