The Wolfsonian-FIU
Consultants from WolfBrown were contracted to draft a strategic plan for this relatively young museum that reflected the realities of a recent affiliation with Florida International University. With a collection of between 70,000 and 100,000 objects of decorative and propaganda art from 1885 to 1945 and the structural change that came from the FIU relationship, the Museum needed to address questions of mission as well as the logistics of defining the audiences that it would serve and how. Over the span of a year, consultants from WolfBrown led the board and staff through the planning process that yielded great benefits for the institution after completion. With greater visibility, increased funding, the FIU affiliation, and tighter operations, The Wolfsonian became a stronger institution. WolfBrown also conducted the search that led to the successful hiring of a new director of development.
