Steven Holochwost, Dennie Wolf, and Judy Hill Bose will be presenting the findings of a two-year study of 12 El Sistema programs, July 20 –22, at the National Take a Stand Festival, hosted by the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Longy School of Music. The study reveals key findings about the ways in which sustained (2 – 3 year) participation supports musical growth and gains in socioemotional learning. They will also be holding a workshop in which participants explore the implications for program design.
