Dennie Palmer Wolf will be hosting a day-long workshop entitled “The Artist as Instigator” at the International Teaching Artist Conference in New York City on September 12, 2018. Dennie will be working in partnership with:
- Sahar Muradi, Poet and Teaching Artist with City Lore, New York’s premier urban folklore center
- Youth from Groundswell, Brooklyn, a public arts initiative focused on equitable creative youth development
- Jeannette Rodríguez-Píneda, Teaching Artist with the Queens Museum
- Doug Paulson, Lead Educator with the Socrates Sculpture Park
The workshop focuses on re-viving the shared human capacities for listening and seeing as avenues for youth development and active participation in their communities.
The workshop will take place at Groundswells studios and enrollment is open to all individuals attending the International Teaching Artist Conference (September 13 – 15).
