Columbus Museum of Art
When the Columbus Museum of Art explored options to deal with its severe space shortage, it faced a difficult challenge — whether to relocate from its 1930 neo-classical building to a new site across the river from downtown or to build additional space on its existing site.
WolfBrown, working with the renowned architectural firm of Hardy Holzman Pfeiffer Associates, conducted comprehensive market and economic research to determine which location was more advantageous. In January 2000, the consultant team recommended building on the existing site. WolfBrown consultants were asked to conduct a feasibility study for a proposed campaign to fund the renovation and expansion and to significantly increase the endowment of this respected institution. A need was identified to redesign the annual fund-raising program and to provide interim management assistance for the development department. WolfBrown redesigned the major gifts, corporate solicitation, and membership efforts of the department and then provided on-going management oversight for these and other activities for six months.
