Northeast Historic Film
Northeast Historic Film (NHF) in Bucksport, Maine was founded in 1986 with the intent of preserving the moving image history of northern New England. The organization is an archive, a theater, and study center as well as a leader in preserving and promoting the historical value of home movies, safeguarding and making available one of the largest collections of amateur film in North America. When the organization received notification of a major National Endowment for the Humanities Challenge grant, its founding director contacted WolfBrown to help with planning and provide guidance for its capital campaign.
WolfBrown consultants performed a comprehensive organizational assessment resulting in an opportunity for the Board to review its strengths and weaknesses and put together a plan for the future including a substantial expansion of the physical plant. The assessment also examined and provided guidance concerning the challenges that would be faced in completing the capital campaign. The consultants assisted in upgrading financial systems and reporting. Finally, WolfBrown provided NHF with in-depth donor research to assist with the institutional phase of its capital campaign fund raising.
