Manager, Audience Research Program

WolfBrown LLC Submission Deadline: October 18, 2020

Background
WolfBrown is a leading provider of market research and management consulting services to cultural institutions, arts agencies and foundations in the US and abroad. A profile of the firm is available at www.wolfbrown.com. WolfBrown’s Detroit office specializes in market research and evaluation, typically in support of programming initiatives and foundation-funded grant programs. To accomplish our work, we draw on an ever-widening circle of qualitative and quantitative research methods, always seeking new and better approaches to addressing the field’s most persistent research questions and challenges.

Since 2007, WolfBrown has developed significant new survey methods and software tools for building the capacity of arts organizations to measure the impact of their artistic programs and learn about their audiences more generally. Hundreds of arts organizations in the US and Canada have participated in large-scale cohort studies initiated by WolfBrown in partnership with numerous service organizations and funders.

In March 2020 WolfBrown launched the Covid-19 Audience Outlook Monitor, a longitudinal tracking study of audience attitudes about attending cultural events during the Covid-19 pandemic. As of September 2020 over 500 cultural organizations in four countries are participating in the study, which will extend well into 2021. We believe that ‘cohort studies’ represent a valuable new approach to field learning, both in terms of the low cost to participating organizations and the ability to rapidly address a wide range of research questions.

To advance the vision of more equitable access to high quality market research in the arts sector, WolfBrown seeks a qualified professional to join our small team of researchers in developing and implementing a variety of audience research initiatives over the coming years.
