Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy
The Conservancy, originally called the Brooklyn Bridge Park Coalition, had been working for nearly twenty years to develop a park along the Brooklyn waterfront on land and piers that combine ownership by the City of New York, State of New York, and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. The Conservancy hired WolfBrown to guide it through an organizational planning process that took into account the complexities of this multi-jurisdictional municipal project. Extensive interviewing and research preceded the development of a discussion paper that was the subject of an initial Planning Committee retreat. That meeting led to the creation of a planning framework that was considered at a two-day board retreat at the Rockefeller Brothers Fund Pocantico conference center. WolfBrown worked closely with staff to develop a full organizational plan, with timelines and budgets. Later WolfBrown assisted in program planning.
