Portland Arts & Lectures
Faced with two distinct options for continued growth, the Oregon-based Portland Arts and Lectures called on WolfBrown to conduct a study of the two opportunities. The first option was expansion of the organization’s presenting role by becoming a major presenter of dance. The second option was a possible merger that would expand and focus programming in the area of literature. The report developed criteria that made it clear that the latter was the better course for the organization. The report also recommended restructuring the Board, changes in staff structure, salary and benefits, an upgrading of the fiscal system, and moving to a new space.
