Western Alliance of Arts Administrators
The Western Alliance of Arts Administrators is a regional service organization with approximately 700 members. In 1996, it contracted consultants from WolfBrown to begin a strategic planning process. The process engaged members through an extensive survey and in-depth interviews. Every aspect of the organization’s mission, programs, services, governance, staffing, finances, and relationship to other institutions was analyzed in detail. The final report, which was adopted by the Board, recommended a focus on core activities as well as an enhanced customer service orientation with respect to its membership. Strategic partnerships with both public and private entities were recommended to make the most effective use of limited resources.
