Classics for Kids Foundation
Classics for Kids provides and helps maintain high quality, low cost instruments for young people in communities and schools around the country. The organization was founded by Michael Reynolds, the cellist of the Muir String Quartet. WolfBrown got involved early in this organization’s start-up phase and provided guidance in all aspects of organizational development. This included recommendations on legal structure, governance/board development, staffing, program development, financial planning, and fund raising. Soon after WolfBrown became involved, Classics for Kids received a major start-up grant from the Hewlitt Foundation. After completion of the business plan, additional grants were received from the Fidelity and Packard Foundations.
