American Association of Museums
The American Association of Museums contracted WolfBrown to design, facilitate, and document a forum exploring leadership development and diversity in the museum field, hosted by the Nathan Cummings Foundation. The work of WolfBrown came at the tail end of the American Association of Museum’s multi-year “Museums and Communities” initiative. As a result of this day-long forum, comprised of funders and field representatives, the American Association of Museums has embarked on a more specific discussion directed internally and externally. This dialogue has focused on best practices for identifying and cultivating future museum leaders, and for attracting a range of candidates whose diverse experiences and perspectives will benefit museums and their local communities.
