Consultants from WolfBrown worked with the American Folk Art Museum as it considered plans for a new space. Hired to conduct a strategic planning process and feasibility study, WolfBrown also provided an organizational assessment, evaluating strengths and weaknesses of the Museum’s programs, board, and staff. The recommended capital campaign was found feasible, and included funds for an endowment, cash reserve, moving costs, technology, and planning. Subsequently, WolfBrown was hired to help with implementation efforts, and as part of those efforts completed a new mission and vision statement, identified top priority recommendations from the plan, and reorganized the board committee structure. The Museum hired the prestigious architectural firm of Tod Williams and Billie Tsien to design the new Museum building to be built on 53rd Street in New York City (on the same block with MOMA) and the building opened to much praise in 2003. Under the direction of WolfBrown a $32 million campaign was created to fund this project.
