 Dance/USA
When Dance/USA, the national service organization for the professional dance field, was seeking a partner to design and implement a major new audience development grant initiative for the dance field, it turned to WolfBrown. Dance/USA and WolfBrown worked collaboratively on designing the Engaging Dance Audiences (EDA) initiative, a competitive grant program funded by the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, to support innovative engagement practices. As part of this unique grant program, WolfBrown works directly with grantees to conduct audience research that assesses the impact of their engagement practices on audience members and to build the grantees’ capacities to evaluate and improve their work. As part of the initiative, WolfBrown will conduct a field-wide study of engagement practices as well as a study of how individual dance consumers like to engage with the art form. The EDA initiative launched in February 2009.
